Our Ambition
Decarbonizing Heat Consumption
At Karno, our mission is to develop zero-carbon heat networks in Belgium. Our goal? To decarbonize heat consumption and support citizens, real estate developers, the public sector, the agricultural world, and industries towards the energy transition.
To achieve this, we offer sustainable, turnkey heat solutions. Regardless of our clients, we support them from A to Z throughout their project.
Our Observation
Today, 99% of the heat produced in Belgium still comes from individual boilers, unlike other European countries such as Denmark. Indeed, zero-carbon heat networks are already well-developed throughout Europe. Drawing on this experience beyond our borders, we utilize all the best European technologies in the development of heat networks in Belgium.

Karno’s Governance
A civil engineer specializing in energy, Grégory Meys worked for several years in the energy sector, particularly in the dispatching of renewable energies. He also started as an independent contractor in the building and insulation sector, before realizing the importance of innovation to achieve a genuine energy transition.
Also a civil engineer in energy, Arnaud Latiers completed his thesis on the real-time balance of production and consumption within electrical grids. He then worked for several years in the sale and optimization of energy markets. It was during his work that he observed Belgium lagging behind in terms of heat networks.
